We see a range of children with special needs including those with autism spectrum disorder, cerebral palsy, Down’s syndrome, learning disabilities, hearing loss, and speech and language disorders. Our clients comprise local and international children.
To join us, you should be able to
- Conduct standardized speech and language assessments for children
- Provide personalized speech, language and communication intervention and management
- Be comfortable with various modes of service delivery and settings – individual and group therapy, in-clinic sessions, home and school visits, telepractice sessions, early intervention and community setting, etc.
- Conduct parent training and professional educational talks
- Develop and run programs for parent and professional education

Minimum requirements
- A strong command in oral and written English
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in speech therapy from a university recognized by the Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC) board (http://www.healthprofessionals.gov.sg/)

Job Description & Requirements
- Assess and provide individualised Occupational Therapy intervention for paediatric clients with a wide range of developmental challenges
- Conduct individual and/or group Occupational Therapy
- Work closely with the Early Intervention team to develop and support them in providing appropriate intervention programs for the clients
- Provide consultation and communication to support stakeholders (e.g., family and staff) in management of clients’ occupational therapy issues
- Maintain up-to-date records of assessment/intervention with clients, and consultation with families/staff/other stakeholders
- Maintain timely and appropriate feedback and necessary communication with the clients and stakeholders
- Participate in staff meetings, internal professional development, events organised by TLC, networking meetings, and any other meetings as and when necessary

Job Scope

- Work with the teachers in the classroom to support these children to participate in their daily curriculum
- Provide shadow support onsite in schools when needed
- Work with the team to plan and implement social, emotional and/or behavioural interventions with these children
- Conduct psycho-educational assessments as and when necessary
- Develop intervention and lesson plans for the children that require support
- Develop and apply holistic teaching methods and approaches, strategies and tools in clinic and at schools

- Diploma in Special / Education, Early Childhood or Psychology

Responsibilities
To assist lead teachers and therapists in:
- Preparing and implementing the programs for children.
- Managing behavior of children using appropriate behavioural strategies taught and agreed by the clinic.
- Supporting the children during routine activities including mealtime, circle time, work and play times.
- Toileting needs of the children and maintaining cleanliness, hygiene and infection control.
- Administrative tasks such as typing out summaries and reports (e.g. IEP, Progress Report).
- Providing input on children’s progress during case conferences or at any other case discussion.
- Planning, share ideas and exchange feedback with the team.
- Preparing teaching aids, materials and resources.
- Evaluating and maintaining records of children’s development as required in the program.
- Rendering basic first aid as and when necessary.
- The upkeep of teaching resources, arrangement, appearance, decorations, and learning environment of the classroom
