Alexandra Lee

Alex has worked with children from various backgrounds with a range of difficulties and impairments over the years. These include children who present with challenges in social communication, speech and language impairments, stammering, feeding and phonological awareness difficulties. Having worked in a range of settings; community clinics, mainstream schools and private practices, Alex is competent in executing both assessment and intervention for children. Alex is fully registered with the Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC) and is also accredited to supervise new clinicians in the field. Clinical supervision is an area of interest for Alex and she has assisted in supervising student clinicians from the National University of Singapore and the University of Queensland.

Alex believes in working collaboratively with the child, family and other professionals in developing a family-centered approach, so as to achieve the goals they set out in therapy while providing them with a platform to communicate. She has previously enjoyed providing outreach services to train teachers and parents alike, in the effort to bridge the gap between therapy in clinics and within other settings.

When she steps out of the clinic, Alex enjoys heading into hot yoga sessions, trialling a new recipe or heading to the theatre to catch a play or a musical.
