Having grown up with dyslexia, Willyn has overcome her own challenges and developed strategies that shaped her resilience and empathy. These personal experiences inspire her passion for supporting others in discovering their strengths through life’s struggles.
Willyn’s professional training includes augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) tools such as TouchChat, Proloquo2Go, PECS, and the Expanding Expressions Toolkit. She has also completed specialised courses including Hanen and Social Thinking, and has extensive experience facilitating social skills and communication groups in both the US and Singapore.
She is dedicated to creating engaging, creative, and meaningful learning experiences—often weaving art and other hands-on elements into her sessions to make therapy enjoyable and impactful.
In her free time, she enjoys spending quality time with her spouse—cycling, exploring nature, or discovering new places both in Singapore and abroad. A former veterinary nurse, she also loves being around animals. Additionally, she enjoys cooking and baking.
