Meng Yi Yui

Yi Yui started her career at two major hospitals in Singapore and discovered her love and natural affinity for both the young and old. This eventually led to her work with children – neonates, infants, toddlers, preschoolers, school-aged – and she has not turned back since. She combines her interest in neuroscience, dysphagia and her love for children to work with them. Yi Yui has special interests in working with children with Feeding and Swallowing Disorders, Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS), and Motor Speech Disorders.

Yi Yui uses an eclectic approach and takes the best of her training to individualize intervention for each and every child that she works with. She enjoys supervising her team and working with complex speech, feeding and swallowing cases to help the children and family. She has advanced training in the Sequential Oral Sensory (SOS) Approach to Feeding (Advanced & Mentorship Training) and Level 3 TalkTools™ Oral Placement Therapy. She is also a certified PROMPT Technique and More Than Words® – The Hanen Program® practitioner. Yi Yui has attended courses on Sensory Integration, DIR®Floortime Approach and NDT (Neuro-developmental Treatment) and believes in treating children with a holistic approach.

On top of working with the children, Yi Yui has provided webinars, lectures, talks and workshops to various professionals, parents and children. She enjoys coaching parents and strives to be a beacon of hope to guide them through their journey with their children with special needs. She also mentors and supervises young speech therapists and students to inspire them in the field of Speech Therapy.

When not at work playing with kids at work, Yi Yui enjoys time with her family exploring nature.
